Arab Academy SEO, AEO & GEO Case Study

Arab Academy is an Egypt-based Arabic-learning provider serving students internationally, with a major focus on the United States and European markets.

This made the project particularly interesting from a search perspective.

We were not trying to build local visibility for an Arabic school in Egypt. We needed to help an Egypt-based brand compete internationally for Arabic-learning searches against online education platforms, language schools and established educational websites targeting the same students.

Our work combines SEO, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Google Ads, supported by content strategy, technical development and continuous search-performance analysis.

    The objective was simple:

Make Arab Academy more visible when prospective students in its target markets search for ways to learn Arabic.

The Challenge: Competing Internationally From Egypt

Arab Academy already had an established website, extensive educational content and years of experience teaching Arabic.

The challenge was turning those strengths into stronger international search visibility.

The business operates from Egypt, while many of its prospective students search from the US, UK and Europe.

That meant our strategy could not rely primarily on local relevance.

We had to understand how people in those markets search for Arabic courses, the terminology they use, the questions they ask before enrolling and which searches indicate stronger commercial intent.

At the same time, the search journey itself was changing.

Potential students were no longer discovering Arabic courses through traditional Google results alone. They were also asking ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI-powered search experiences questions about where and how to learn Arabic online.

Because of this shift, we approached Arab Academy using SEO, AEO and GEO as connected parts of the same search strategy.

Building the Strategy Around International Search Demand

    Keyword Research and Search Intent

Our starting point was understanding real search demand within Arab Academy’s target markets.

We researched searches covering different parts of the prospective student’s journey, including broad Arabic-learning queries, course-specific searches, different levels of Arabic study and questions related to learning formats.

Instead of choosing a small list of high-volume keywords, we analyzed the wider topic.

Every keyword was considered in relation to:

    • Search intent
    • Target market
    • Commercial relevance
    • Existing website content
    • Competition
    • Potential page opportunities

This allowed us to distinguish between searches that required dedicated landing pages and searches that could be covered naturally within existing content.

    Keyword Clustering

Related keywords were then organized into logical clusters.

Several keywords can represent almost exactly the same intention. Creating a new page for every variation would create unnecessary competition between pages on the same website.

Clustering allowed us to define a clearer purpose for each important URL.

This helped Arab Academy build stronger topical coverage without producing unnecessary or repetitive content.

Strengthening Existing Content Before Creating New Pages

Arab Academy already had a significant amount of content.

For that reason, one of our priorities was determining what could be improved before deciding what needed to be created.

Existing pages were reviewed against their intended search queries, including:

    • Search intent
    • Page structure
    • Content coverage
    • Headings
    • Internal linking
    • Related topics
    • Google Search Console performance

When an existing page already had visibility, we focused on strengthening it rather than replacing it.

Search Console was particularly useful here.

A page might already receive impressions for relevant searches that were not being fully addressed in the content. Those queries gave us direct evidence of where Google was beginning to associate the page with additional topics.

Instead of creating another URL, we could expand or optimize the existing page and build on the authority it already had.

    Applying AEO to Arab Academy

Traditional keyword optimization remained important, but it was no longer enough on its own.

Users increasingly search conversationally and ask complete questions.

We therefore applied Answer Engine Optimization to make Arab Academy’s content easier for search and answer engines to interpret.

    Structuring Content Around Real Questions

Rather than building content around keywords alone, we considered the questions behind those searches.

    • What does a prospective student need to understand before choosing an Arabic program?
    • Which course format suits them?
    • What level should they start with?
    • How does online Arabic learning work?
    • What makes one program different from another?

Answering these questions clearly made the content more useful to prospective students while also creating information that search engines can interpret more easily.

AEO therefore became an extension of the SEO work rather than a completely separate activity.

    Extending the Strategy Into GEO

We applied the same principle to Generative Engine Optimization.

The goal was not to create separate “AI pages.”

Instead, we worked on making Arab Academy easier for generative systems to understand.

Building Clearer Brand and Topic Signals

Across the website, we strengthened the relationship between:

    • Arab Academy
    • Arabic-language education
    • Its courses
    • Its target students
    • Different learning formats
    • Its areas of expertise
    • Related Arabic-learning topics

    AI systems need context.

They need to understand not only that a page contains the phrase “learn Arabic,” but also who is providing the service, what they offer, who it is relevant to and how the information connects to other topics.

For Arab Academy, this was particularly important because the company is based in Egypt while serving an international audience.

Our content and website structure needed to communicate both facts clearly.

    Growing Visibility in AI Search

One of the most important developments in the campaign has been Arab Academy’s visibility across AI-powered search experiences.

The brand now appears prominently for relevant Arabic-learning queries across major AI platforms.

This matters because the discovery journey is becoming increasingly fragmented.

A prospective student may find Arab Academy through:

    • Traditional Google Search
    • Google’s AI-powered results
    • ChatGPT
    • Gemini
    • Other AI assistants and answer engines

Our objective is therefore no longer limited to achieving a traditional organic ranking.

We want Arab Academy to be discoverable wherever its potential students are searching.

Managing the Campaign Through Our SEO Platform

The scale of the campaign required a structured way to manage research, content and performance.

We use our own SEO management platform for Arab Academy rather than relying entirely on disconnected spreadsheets.

    Research and Keyword Management

Keyword research and clusters are stored within the platform, helping our team maintain a clear relationship between:

keywords → clusters → pages → content opportunities

Before recommending new content, we can check whether the same search intent is already being addressed elsewhere on the website.

This helps prevent cannibalization and keeps the website architecture organized as the campaign grows.

    Content Planning and Client Approval

Content recommendations can also move directly from the keyword strategy into our content workflow.

Arab Academy can review and approve planned content before publication, while our team maintains visibility into the keyword cluster and objective associated with each piece.

This keeps the process connected from research through execution.

Google Search Console as a Strategy Tool

Our platform also connects keyword monitoring with Google Search Console.

We use Search Console not simply to prepare monthly reports, but to influence what we do next.

    We monitor:

    • Search queries
    • Impressions
    • Clicks
    • Position changes
    • Landing pages
    • Geographic performance

The geographic data is particularly valuable for Arab Academy because we can evaluate how organic visibility is developing in the United States and important European markets, rather than looking only at global totals.

Search Console also helps us identify opportunities that conventional keyword research may miss.

If Google begins displaying a page for a relevant query that we were not originally targeting, that can become the starting point for the next optimization.

    Technical SEO Supported by Development

Arab Academy’s SEO work also goes beyond content and metadata.

Our development background allows us to work directly with technical issues that may affect search performance.

Our team works with technologies including WordPress, PHP, Node.js, Next.js, React and custom-built websites.

This means we are not dependent on a specific SEO plugin or CMS.

When we identify an issue involving crawling, indexing, rendering, page structure or website performance, we can look at both the SEO requirement and the development implementation.

For Arab Academy, technical SEO and development are therefore part of the same process rather than two disconnected responsibilities.

    Connecting SEO and Google Ads

We also manage Google Ads for Arab Academy.

Paid search and SEO perform different roles, but managing both gives us a broader understanding of how prospective students search.

Google Ads gives us additional information around:

    • High-intent search terms
    • Commercial demand
    • Landing-page behavior
    • Geographic performance
    • Conversion patterns

This can help inform SEO priorities.

Likewise, stronger organic landing pages and better website content support users regardless of whether they arrive through paid or organic search.

Because Arab Academy primarily targets international markets, paid search also gives us precise control over which countries and audiences we want to reach while the organic strategy continues building long-term visibility.

    Continuous Search Optimization

The campaign does not follow a one-time SEO checklist.

We operate through a continuous cycle:

    Research → Implementation → Measurement → Optimization

    Keyword research identifies opportunities.

    Content and development address them.

Google Search Console shows how Google responds.

AI visibility shows how the brand appears within emerging search experiences.

Google Ads gives us additional insight into high-intent demand.

We then use that information to determine the next stage of the strategy.

This allows Arab Academy’s search presence to continue evolving as its market, competitors and search technology change.

The Outcome: International Visibility From an Egypt-Based Brand

Arab Academy demonstrates that a company’s physical location does not have to define the markets where it can compete online.

The company operates from Egypt, while many of its prospective students are searching from the United States, UK and Europe.

Our role has been to close that gap.

    • SEO provides the foundation for long-term search visibility.
    • AEO makes important information clearer and easier to answer from.
    • GEO extends that work into generative and AI-powered search.
    • Technical development ensures the website can support the strategy properly.
    • Google Ads captures high-intent demand while providing additional market insight.

Together, these channels are helping Arab Academy build a search presence around the people it wants to reach rather than simply the country where the business is located.

Questions About the Arab Academy SEO Strategy

Arab Academy is based in Egypt, but a major part of its target audience is located in the United States and Europe. The strategy therefore focused on international search demand and the way prospective students in those markets search for Arabic-learning services.

No. The campaign combines SEO, AEO, GEO and Google Ads, supported by technical development, content optimization and performance analysis.

Each channel has a different role, but they are informed by the same understanding of Arab Academy’s target audience and search demand.

SEO helps Arab Academy compete within traditional organic search results.

AEO focuses on making content easier for search and answer engines to understand and use when responding to questions.

GEO extends this work toward generative search platforms such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google’s AI-powered search experiences.

Rather than treating them as completely separate strategies, we apply them as connected layers of modern search optimization.

We research search demand, analyze intent and organize related keywords into clusters.

We then compare those opportunities against Arab Academy’s existing pages to determine whether a page should be optimized, expanded or created.

Google Search Console data is also continuously used to discover additional search opportunities.

    Yes.

Our SEO platform helps us manage keyword research, clustering, page opportunities, content planning, client approvals and keyword performance.

It is also connected to Google Search Console, allowing search-performance data to feed back into the strategy.

SEO recommendations often require changes to the website itself.

Because our team has experience with WordPress, PHP, Node.js, Next.js, React and custom websites, we can evaluate both the search requirement and its technical implementation.

This is especially useful when SEO improvements involve more than editing content or metadata.

Google Ads provides immediate access to high-intent search demand and gives us additional information about search terms, geographic performance, landing pages and conversions.

We do not treat paid search as a replacement for SEO. Instead, both channels provide different insights into the same customer journey.

    Yes.

Arab Academy is a good example of why search visibility does not have to be limited by the physical location of the company.

With the right market research, content strategy, technical foundation and international search targeting, a business can compete for relevant demand in markets far beyond its home country.
